THE CHALLENGE
Disney Advertising relied on DeadLizard to design the fourth year of Generation Stream, their annual in-depth study on the viewers reshaping media consumption – this time with a global focus. DeadLizard was tasked with infusing this new international focus into the brand without completely overhauling the look - basically change the message but not the brand. We also were challenged to bring the study’s flat data to life across reports, e-marketing campaigns and web materials that conveyed the global nature of the content and accurately portrayed demographics and location throughout.
THE INSIGHT
Small design shifts can quietly signal transformations. The real art lies in knowing where a subtle adjustment can create outsized impact, reshaping how a brand is seen, felt and understood.
THE SOLUTION
DeadLizard built upon the previous 2 volumes and incorporated three slight changes to shift Generation’s Stream from a national initiative to one that spanned the globe. First, we transformed the “O” in “Generation” into a globe, an elegant visual cue that instantly conveyed a broader scope. Next we introduced an expanded color palette that evolved the aesthetic to reflect the diversity of the global population. And finally, we curated photography that authentically represented locations and celebrated cultural distinctions. With refreshed layouts tying it all together, the new look changed Generation Stream’s mission while maintaining the hallmark attributes of the brand.

Design | Animation & Motion Graphics
THE CHALLENGE
In 2025 Disney Advertising partnered with DeadLizard to bring motion graphics to life for their Tech & Data Showcase and Upfront events. Each event came with its own distinct branding, screen formats and production challenges that demanded inventive, customized design solutions that matched the scale, complexity and prestige of the environments. Our long-standing partnership with Disney has taught us that delivering their signature magic demands more than creativity - it requires boundary-pushing ideas and inventive solutions.
The Tech & Data Showcase creative conveyed a sense of authority and expertise in Disney’s research and advertising solutions but presented it with a level of elegant cleanliness and sophistication.
The Upfront would not only require a new way of composing video and motion graphics, but also novel approaches to stitching together immersive brand-specific environments.
THE INSIGHT
Creating truly magical moments starts with stepping into your audience’s shoes. What will they see, feel and remember? Designing from their perspective is the key to crafting experiences that resonate and stay with them.
THE SOLUTION
To meet the demands of two distinct, high-profile events, DeadLizard collaborated with Disney from idea to implementation to craft a flexible design system tailored to each space. Embracing complex canvases as opportunities to innovate, we created dynamic motion graphics and visual elements that elevated the experience and delivered magical experiences for Disney’s guests.
DeadLizard built upon the specific branding of the Tech & Data Showcase and applied the brand on state-of-the-art screens that added a touch of enchantment to the experience. The central screen and flanking banners were presented with a sense of space and depth, giving Disney’s science a soft shimmer. The main screen dazzled at a 16:9 ratio, but the real surprise came from the side banners that were invisible until a projected light made them appear out of thin air.
The Upfront’s post-event entryways transported guests straight into the heart of Disney’s storytelling universe by literally enveloping them in the worlds of Star Wars to the Lion King to Percy Jackson and beyond. Three towering tunnels, stationed at each entrance to the reception space, were covered with a seamless video wall that stretched 180 degrees overhead, immersing guests in a breathtaking cascade of motion and magic. Guests could interact and play with the visuals, fully immersing themselves in the unmistakable magic of Disney.
