THE CHALLENGE
Reelz enlisted DeadLizard’s services to develop their 2025-26 Upfront Presentation with a new goal: champion the heroic work of the first responders that are often the main characters in their programming. This narrative pivot required a drastically different design from the previous year which focused on the true crime aspect of their programming.
THE INSIGHT
Creative solutions are defined by the framing of the message. This becomes critically important in branded communications where the proper alignment of message and audience oftentimes defines success or failure.
THE SOLUTION
DeadLizard provided a look that was bright, bold and heroic. Departing from the dark, cinematic style of the past that played to the true crime genre, we embraced simplified text and a vibrant, uplifting patchwork of imagery. The new designs and tone captured the power of Reelz’s programming and honored the heroes at the heart of their content.
